The unit (13) comprises an outer edge (14) placed either transversely or longitudinally. The lower part of the edge is ventilated and is strengthened by reinforcement beams (15) introduced into the facade (10) of the balcony (18). The beams are first introduced into the facade, and they are embedded into it. The unit is put in place and then it is fastened to the ventilation parts and the reinforcement beams. The outer edge is made from ionized iron or stainless steel and has ledges (14a,b) on its upper and lower parts. The lower part has a water drainage section (16b).
