PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information discriminating method which is capable of continuously performing the information discrimination on a pot storing a product, etc., without line stop and is effective even under such server condition of passing the pot through a heat processing furnace, in particular. SOLUTION: This method is a container information discriminating method for discriminating the information on a container to be discriminated by reading the iron-ground concave and convex codes 3' to 5' of the plate 1 mounted on the external surface of the container by a proximity switch 7. As for the concave and convex codes 3' to 5' of the plate 1, plural concave and convex parts arranged in the direction almost perpendicular to the advancing direction within the container are defined as an information code, plural of the one information codes are provided in parallel in the advancing direction of the container. The proximity switches 7 of the same number as that of the concave and convex parts which are relatively installed for the concave and convex part of the plate 1 and match with the concave and convex part are provided and each proximity switch 7 is made to detect the concave and convex part moving with the advance of the container every information code. |
