PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the straightness of a cable and avoid damages on the inner surface of a stress-relief cone when the stress-relief cone is fitted in order to form the joint of the cable such as a CV cable. SOLUTION: A main shaft 1 supported by legs L, two cleats 2 and 3 provided on both the ends of the main shaft 1 and the support table 5 of a stress-relief cone pushing jig 4 which is slid along the main shaft 1 are provided. In order to fit a stress-relief cone S to a cable C, a conductor gripping rod 7 is fixed to the exposed conductor part 6 of the cable C and the lever 9 of a gear box 8 fixed to the rod 7 is operated to move a slider 10 on the direction of a cable axis to push the pushing jig 4.
