<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a part subject to silent compression without a sense of incongruity by a talker when information subject to silent compression is sent and reproduced by an ATM. SOLUTION: In the ATM silent compression system, a voice detection reproduction circuit section 10 identifies a voice signal and a background noise and existing of only background noise is informed to a CLAD circuit section 20 by a silent notice and the CLAD circuit section 20 stores the background noise in the information processed as de-cells by ATM and the store background noise is reproduced by a background noise injection command from the CLAD circuit section 20. The CLAD circuit section 20 applies ATM cell processing to information from the voice detection reproduction circuit section 10 and when the silence notice is consecutive for 47 bytes or over from the voice detection reproduction circuit section 10, the cell is not processed in the unit of 47 bytes but the ATM cell information from the ATM network is subject to ATM de-cell and when ATM cell information does not arrive from the ATM network within a prescribed interval, the background noise injection command is informed to the voice detection reproduction circuit section 10.</p> |
