The panel (10) is composed mainly of aluminium or alloy with a melting point between 550 and 700 degrees C, but with steel sections (11) of severe curvature at the edges and of strengthening across the centre with a melting point between 1450 and 1700 degrees C. The different sections are welded together by a laser beam at an angle of 1 to 5 degrees , focused at a point preferably 0.2 to 0.4 mm from the junction plane, while lateral pressure is exerted towards that plane to eliminate rough edges and to expel oxides, impurities and intermetallic compounds. |
