PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guarantee recording quality of information written in an optical disk by recognizing whether or not the information is written in normally after it is written in the optical disk. SOLUTION: After the information is recorded on the recording area of the optical disk, a part of the recorded information is reproduced, and the maximum value A1 and minimum value A2 of its regenerative signal are detected, and a β value is calculated from the maximum value A1 and the minimum value A2 based on the relation β=(A1+A2)/(A1-A2), and whether or not the β value exists within the allowable range is judged, and when the matter that the βvalue doesn't exist within the allowable range is judged, error information is outputted to a host computer. |
