PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the optimum voice coding and improve the transmission characteristic by selecting the voice coding method corresponding to the characteristic information of the aural signal to be inputted. SOLUTION: A comparison part 5 receives the voice characteristics from a voice characteristic storage part 3 and receives the aural signal characteristic information, and compares and examines two voice characteristics with each other to extract the common characteristics. A voice coding method selection part 6 select the optimum voice coding method to the restriction of the transmission speed, the voice quality, or the like of the circuit among various voice coding methods furnished in a communication terminal device 1 based on the results of comparison and examination. An aural signal storage part 7 transmits the aural signal received from a voice input part 101 and stored therein during the selection of the voice coding method to a voice coding part 8. The voice coding part 8 codes the voice by the voice coding method, a multiplexing part 105 multiplexes the coded aural signal and the coded image signal, and a circuit interface part 106 transmits the data. |
