<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect of blocking of a head of line by smoothing the processing of multi-cast cells. SOLUTION: In the case of input of a multi-cast cell, while the multi-cast cell is written in a shared buffer 11, an address painter in the shared buffer 11 is copied to an address buffer 15 provided to each output port from a multi- cast address buffer 16 to make re-queuing. After the address pointer is simultaneously stored in advance in a small capacity buffer, while the multi-cast cell is written in the multi-cast cell is sequentially transferred to the address buffer. Furthermore, a single cast cell and a multi-address cell are tuned via an address cell denoting it that a succeeding cell is a multi-cast cell and the multi-cast cell in the shared buffer is outputted in a way of re-queuing to each output port.</p> |
