PHOTOGRAPH ELEMENT FOR ACHIEVING ACCURATE COLOR RECORDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photographic element selected in such a manner that spectral sensitivity attains specific color reproducibility and noise performance by consisting the element of image recording units including a base and at least one silver halide emulsion layers which are applied on this base and are recorded with specific exposure information. SOLUTION: This photographic element consists of the base and at least the three silver halide emulsion layers applied on the base. The exposure information is recorded on the three image recording units. The spectral sensitivity of the image recording units is selected at an average color error ofΔE*ab <=3.1. This average color error ofΔE*ab is calculated for the specific set of the test colors of known spectral reflectivity and the light source is specified as D66 . Further, the average color error ofΔE*ab is the average CIE 1976ΔE*ab and the converted exposure signal is formed by applying the resulted exposure signal to the exposure signal of a CCIR advice. An exposure space matrix is so obtd. as to minimize the average color error ofΔE*ab and a noise gain coefft.Ψis equal to or smaller than 6.5.
