摘要 The conventional differential is mounted in a housing (2) consisting of planetary gears (4,5) joined by satellite gears (7) forming a differential train. The first planetary gear (4) is fixed to the first semi-shaft (1a) by a screw (4a) which forms part of the drive shaft (1). This is surrounded by the second semi-shaft (6) which receives at one end the other planet gear. The other end of the semi-shaft enters the wheel hub (3) which is mounted on the end of the semi-shaft (6). A 50 degree male cone (11) is fitted on the end of the semi-shaft (1a), and is contained in the housing of the hub. A female cone (9) is fitted to the hub between the two engaging cone surfaces of an angled ring of friction material (10). The hub is closed by a wheel carrying plate (14) which carries a semi-automatic control which locks up the two shafts (1a,6) via the mating cones (9,11) and the friction material (10).
