FIELD: agriculture, in particular, commercial growing of plants. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has seed germination bed with layer of hygroscopic material, whose ends are dipped into channel with nutrient solution. Apparatus is divided into sections, each having two tiers. Channels serve guides for withdrawal and rectacting of troughs, with level of nutrient solution being constant. Hygroscopic material serves bed for seeds as well as for roots of grown plants. Some troughs are provided with covers having holes. Artificial illumination devices are positioned above each tier, except for those, where seeds are growing. Illumination devices are connected to power source through time relay. Apparatus may be completed with wheeled containers for transportation of troughs.
