The connector, having a connecting flex (4) and a series of conducting pins (2) for inserting into matching holes in a female connector, incorporates a printed circuit (1) which has its base made with a number of straight projections to form the pins. The pins are covered with a conducting material which extends as far as conducting tracks of the printed circuit to ensure a continuity of conduction, and the printed circuit is over-moulded so that the free ends of the pins align with the holes in the female connector. The conducting material covering the projections can be of tin, and the over-moulding material is selected from the group comprising phenylene polysulphide, polybutylene terephthalate, polyamide 6.6 and polyamide 6. The printed circuit can also include electronic components for processing information and signals transmitted by the pins or through the flex.
