PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL dial which allows a base plate of metal to serve also as a back electrode and gives a sufficient strength while the configuration is kept simply, to make compact the front shape of an EL type analog timepiece assembly introducing this EL dial, and also make simple even in the depth direction. SOLUTION: A machine module C of a timepiece and a block B of driver circuit are furnished on the back surface of an EL dial A. The EL dial A is structured so that indices 3 are provided on a transparent electrode 2 on the rear surface of a transparent base material 1, and a light emission layer 4 and insulating layer 5 are laminated on the rear surface of this transparent base material 1. A notch 6 is provided at the peripheries of the light emitting layer and insulative layer, and an external contact member 7 leading to the transparent electrode is furnished. A base plate 9 of metal to serve also as a back electrode is adhered to the insulating layer and put in electric continuity to a block of EL driver circuit through one of the connecting members 10, and by means of an admitting means 12, the external contact member is put in continuity to the block of driver circuit through the other connecting member 11. |
