FIELD: medicine, enzymology, cell and molecular biology. SUBSTANCE: cattle frozen organs were homogenized and the basic protease inhibitor is extracted with an acid aqueous solution at pH = 1-3. The obtained extract is fractionated and concentrated by ultrafiltration being firstly on the hollow fibers at pore size 15-50 kDa and then - at 5 kDa. Final purification is carried out by cation-exchange chromatography. Yield and specific activity of the end product were increased by 8 and 10.8 times, respectively.
