<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an ordinary pointing device function as a voice input device or an image photographing device just by changing the attitude of the pointing device main body. SOLUTION: A mouse contains a microphone 27, an amplifier 28 and an attitude detection sensor 29 in addition to its ordinary component parts. A word processor which contains such a mouse is switched between a pointing mode and a voice input mode according to the detection signal of the sensor 29. In the pointing mode, the mouse performs the function of an ordinary pointing device. In the voice input mode, the mouse functions as a voice input device by fetching the voices via the microphone 27 and an amplifier 28.</p> |
