SNOW-ACCRETION PREDICTION METHOD AND ITS DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately predict snow accretion amount sticking on an electric cable and prevent breaking of electric cable and damage of steel towers. SOLUTION: In the case that snow-accretion amount on an electric cable is predicted based on delivered meteorological data, the possibility of snow- accretion on the electric cable for the present meteorological data is predicted with a neural network 10 for predicting snow-accretion possibility using the past facts on snow-accretion on the cable obtained with the meteorological data of teacher signals. Then, only in the case that there is a possibility of snow-accretion, the neural network 11 for predicting snow-accretion amount predicts the snow-accretion amount on the cable for the present meteorological data based on the past snow-accretion on the cable corresponding to the meteorological data of the teacher signal.
