PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the apparent elastic hardness of a pressure member, to enlarge the nip width and to improve the fixing property by providing the pressure member with a contact part constituted of an elastic body being in contact with a fixing roller through a heat insulating sheet and a guide part arranged on the entering side of a recording material so that the free height thereof becomes lower than the contact part. SOLUTION: The pressure member 51 is constituted so that silicone sponge rubber (guide part) whose thickness on a paper passing upstream side is 2mm and the silicone sponge rubber (contact part) whose thickness on a paper passing downstream side is 3mm are formed in the width of 2mm. Then, the pressure member 51 is positioned between a Z-bending plate material 56 and the fixing roller 52 and is brought into press-contact by a pressure spring. The heat insulating sheet 54 fixed to a lower frame 53 is inserted between the pressure member 51 and the roller 52. The upstream side of the frame 53 from the roller 52 is constituted so as to be higher by the thickness of the pressure member 51 and the sheet 54 than the downstream side therefrom. Then, the plate metal 56 is engaged in the boundary part of the height. |
