Automobile heat exchanger with plate manifold

The heat exchange for an automobile comprises a fluid casing (1) with a peripheral shoulder (5) and a plate manifold (2) with a peripheral edge (11). The manifold peripheral edge delimits an internal surface and a bottom of a peripheral U shaped groove. This groove receives the casing shoulder with a sealing joint (14) interposed between them. It has an end part (15) which extends perpendicularly from the part (13) of the peripheral edge delimiting the groove bottom. A ring (18) retains the fluid casing peripheral shoulder. The ring has a lower part (19) which is fixed to the manifold plate end part by brazing or welding. It has an upper part (21) which is supported on an upper surface (6) of the peripheral shoulder in order to immobilise the manifold.
