In a novel method, a machine lays an optical cable in solid ground. The cable is original, an optical micro- or mini-cable (1). This comprises a uniform tube (8), proof against water under pressure, with an outer diameter of 2.0-10 mm, preferably 3.5-5.5 mm, into which the optical waveguide or fibre (3) is introduced. Also claimed are: a laying unit to make the laying groove for the micro-or mini cable, which includes a cutter assembly as described; and the following method of repairing a microcable. Aided by a device (GF) which releases the microcable (MK), sufficient backfilling (FM) is removed from the groove (VN) to insert a repair kit of appropriate length. |
