<p>A bandage comprises a strip of flexible fabric (10) having a first band of adhesive material (12) on one face (11) thereof adjacent to one edge (13) thereof, and a second band (14) of similar adhesive on the opposite face (16) thereof adjacent to the opposite edge (15). The adhesive comprises a 'cold seal' material which, without the application of heat, adheres strongly only to itself. Accordingly, the bandage may be formed into a conventional roll (20) without successive turns becoming adhered to one another, but when the bandage is wrapped spirally around part of a patient's body in the conventional manner, the adhesive bands (12, 14) come into contact with one another so as to secure adjacent turns together.</p> |
