The disclosure relates to an electric toothbrush (1) with a timer element (13) which when the brush is switched indicates to the user when one of possibly several brushing periods has elapsed. In addition, means (12) coupled to the timer element (13) are provided with which the user can set the start (T4) of the brushing period (PZD2). This ensures that one brushing period (PZD1) does not on elapsing automatically trigger the start (T4) of the next brushing period (PZD2) but allows the user freely to select the start (T4) of the next brushing period (PZD2). |
