<p>A method of data processing, wherein subject matter is divided at an arbitrary location regardless of a silent section, etc., while the continuity of a treating unit for encoding is maintained at a subject matter switching point. A data processor comprises a timing generating circuit (13) which counts audio frame lengths and outputs a prescribed audio frame pulse (Pau) when a prescribed count value is reached; a phase difference storage (24) which stores the count value of the circuit (13) in a phase difference storing area (Z3) as a phase difference value (Dp) based on the input of a prescribed video frame pulse (Pvf) in a stage before a magnetic tape switching point; and a phase difference requesting unit (27) which makes the circuit (13) start counting from the phase difference value (Dp) held in the storing area (Z3) by supplying the value (Dp) to the circuit (13) when the above-mentioned video frame pulse (Pvf) of the video frame pulses (Pvf) related to audio data (Da) is input from a magnetic tape after switching.</p> |
