The net comprises a fixing side (4) to which a stable rod (7) is connected on the net and which is also close to the load bearing surface (2). Extending from the rod are non-stretchable straps (10). These straps serve as tensioning elements and are fixed on the net, their free end sections (12) lying opposite to the fixing side are anchored close to the load bearing surface. The length of the rod corresponds approximately to the length of the fixing side. The rod is inserted into the hem of the net.
