A hollow post (4) is attached to the side wall (2) of a connector box. The hollow is oval in section. A slot (6) accepts a sliding captive nut (8) with a threaded hole (10). Sliding freedom is restricted in one direction by the notch (12) and in the other where the shoulders (8a) of the nut meet the neck (6e) of the slot. Internal fittings are secured by a bolt mated with the sliding nut (8). They have a degree of freedom rotationally and linearly to permit alignment. Several other constructions to achieve the same end are described. |
