<p>A method for preparing organic disulphides and polysulphides by reacting sulphur with a mercaptan or a low-sulphur polysulphide to convert it into a high-sulphur polysulphide, or by reacting a mercaptan with a high-sulphur organic polysulphide to convert it into a low-sulphur polysulphide in the presence of a basic resin catalyst. The resin used is a polystyrene-divinylbenzene (PS-DVB) resin having general formula (I), wherein (a) is the PS-DVB resin support, and L is a linear organic radical no shorter than the methylene radical (-CH2-).</p> |
