<p>An apparatus for opening the shells (C) of bivalve molluscs, comprising an assembly (A) for supporting a shell (C) and an opening device (40) insertable between the shells of the bivalve mollusc. The supporting assembly (A) comprises retaining portions (30, 32, 34) for holding the shell (C), and the opening device (40) is supported on a lever (50, 50') hinged to the supporting assembly (A). Said supporting assembly (A) consists of a clamp (A) with two arms (10, 12) joined together via a hinge (14), and the lever (50, 50') supporting the opening device (40) is hinged to at least one of said two arms (10, 12).</p> |
