<p>The present invention has at least a continuous belt or chain (40), a sliding bar (32), at least two drivers (34, 36), one for moving and driving the belt, and a plurality of constraining rollers (38) for guiding the belt (40) around all the other components such that the portion of the belt (40) between the rollers (38) and the extreme ends of the sliding bar (32) is substantially parallel thereto. Suction cups or grippers (60) disposed at regular intervals along the belt (40) and having distance which is greater or equal to that of the tray pitch and frame pitch picks up outputs from a packaging system and places such outputs into carrier trays (52). The sliding bar (32) accommodates automatically tray change without interrupting the operating of the packaging system (30). By matching the flow of outputs (50) from packaging system (30) with that of the offloading trays (65, 70) space economy is achieved without requiring modification to existing packaging systems. Finally, the continuous and circulating belt (40) and suction cups (60) outlay of the present invention obviates the need for a buffer area.</p> |
