Electric motor driven combustion-air blower for vehicle heater

The blower unit has a single mounting flange (4) between an electric motor (2) and the blower it powers. The inlet chamber (9) and the outlet chamber(10) for the air flow in the motor housing (2) are linked to the blower via ports (19,20) in the mounting flange. The motor shaft (6) also passes through the flange and a single seal serves the ports and the motor shaft. The motor is vented via a vent opening through the shaft, also sealed by the single seal. The vent opening also takes the cable loom for the blower motor.
