Conveyor system, thin sheet dispenser means and method for picking up thin slices from a thin sheet supplier, transporting the picked up sheets and releasing them by a system comprising a conveyor system having a porous belt (1) moved around a shaft and an air providing means, and a thin sheet supplier, whereby preferably at least one of the conveyor system and supplier can move forth and back over a short distance, so that the belt (1) is moved close to the supplier and preferably a sheet is picked up by the use of an air pressure difference (8), preferably vacuum, and by subsequent movement of the belt (1), the thin sheet is transported, and subsequently released from the belt (1), e.g. by interruption of the air pressure difference.
