Rear brake light for motor vehicle

The brake lights have several light sources (30) in a housing under a parabolic mirror (22d) which reflects the light through a collimating lens (40) and out of the brake light housing in a preset angle. The mirror is divided by two planes (P1,P2) to define the light beam. The light sources, LEDs etc. are mounted in the lower recess with the mirror having a number of parabolic sections in a horizontal array. The output section of the housing has a steeply sloped lens (5a) corresponding to the slope of the rear windscreen of the vehicle.
