Palletising mechanism for stacks of flat items

The pallet is adjustable for height, and above it is a mechanism depositing the stacks in the desired pattern. The feed conveyor belts (3,4) are aligned in a common plane parallel to that of the depositing mechanism, and are separately controlled. Their front discharge rollers (5,6) towards each other are movable in the same and opposite directions, by moving the respective bottom runs of the belts. The width of the belts can be the same as that of the pallet surface. A narrower feed conveyor can be connected to one of the belts and movable in the transverse direction.
