The mouse-mat has a base layer less than 2 mm thick and preferably less than 1 mm. An anti-skid layer (3) is thinner than the base layer, in the region of 0.1 to 0.8 mm, preferably less than 0.3 mm.The mouse mat has further layers above the base layer, where a fluid or gaseous ballast is included in the layers. The anti-skid layer is made of silicon, rubber or polyurethane material. The base layer is made of plastic and or paper material.
