The system has a housing for a camera module coupled to a remote monitor and coacting with an objective lens in the housing front wall, there is preferably a push-rod for moving the camera through the pipeline, into the housing lead supply and data cables for the TV camera. At least the image pick-up (7) of the camera module is rotatably mounted in the housing and is continuously adjusted by gravity in such a horizontal position that the reproduction on the monitor remains constant, even during the housing rotation in the pipeline, about its longitudinal axis (23).
