An armoured fighting vehicle with a compartment 2 for personnel or crew 7, has a hatch 6 at the rear of the vehicle for entry and exit of personnel rapidly and easily. The vehicle 1 contains a rail system 3, 5 which can be moved rearwards through the opening 6.2 of the hatch 6 and on which the crew seats 4 are slidably positioned one behind the other. The seats can thus be moved into and out of the vehicle through the hatch for the entry and exit of the personnel. The rail system when extended, can be protected by armoured plating forming a drawer-like structure. A number of parallel and separate rail systems can be provided.
