Transmission system with low bit error rate

摘要

The transmission system is used for transmission of bursts with bit packets containing several classes of bits, e.g. unprotected bits, bits protected by a redundant coding and training sequences consisting of known bit sequences. The attenuation of the transmitted training sequence is used to determine the attenuation of the transmission channel, with decoding and re-coding of the protected bits for reducing the bit error rate. The known bits of the protected bit class are used as a further training sequence for determining the attenuation, for improved correct identification of the unprotected bits.
