A closure and filling valve for pressurised containers, esp. refrigerant bottles, has a valve housing (1) equipped with a system for ensuring reliable valve closing using the back pressure of the container filling by means of a closure piston (2) which can move between open and closed positions. USE/ADVANTAGE - The valve is esp. screwed into a refrigerant bottle used for refrigerant topping up or refilling of refrigeration units after servicing or repair. It reliably prevents back-filling of the bottle with contaminated refrigerant from the refrigeration unit and always ensures a residual pressure remaining in the bottle.
