A drill bit adaptor tool (40) is provided having a lock member (52), sliding member (56), and spring (60) that are slidably positioned on the tool body (44). The lock member (52) engages the driver (88) of a drill (48) and thereby holds the adaptor tool (40) to the drill (48). The lock member (52) is disengaged to permit removal of the adaptor tool (40) from the driver (88) by moving the sliding member (56), lock member (52), and spring (60) relative to the tool body (44). The adaptor tool (40) facilitates convenient and rapid replacement of drill bits (48) or other working pieces. |
