<p>A pre-connectorized loose tube optical fibre cable comprises a flexible tube carrying optical fibres and an outer sheath.The flexible tube extends from an end of the outer sheath and has a wall thickness greater than the minimum bend radius of the optical fibres. The optical fibres do not break when the flexible tube is bent through any angle upto 180[deg]. Also claimed are: (i) a method of fabricating the claimed cable; and (ii) a termination arrangement for a loose tube optical fibre cable for reducing fibre breakage. Preferably, the flexible tube is made of PVC material, the capping epoxy is preferably methacrylate, and the heat shrinks are preferably polyolefin.</p> |
