摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To increase the allowable slanting angle of a bearing so as to prevent generation of any excessive inner stress and improve durability of the bearing in the case of touch down by increasing a ratio of the curvature radius of the raceway groove of an inner ring against the diameter of a ball in a radial ball bearing for protection. CONSTITUTION:In the case of touch down, when a rotor makes contact with the outer ring 13 of a bearing 10, some slant is generated on the bearing 10. But, by enlarging the curvature radius ri of a groove, an allowable slanting angle becomes larger and an excessive stress does not appear inside of the bearing 10. In the case of the same slanting angle, a revolution speed of the ball 11 becomes smaller as the radius ri becomes larger and the rotation becomes smoother, and in the case of startup of high speed rotation, by enlarging the radius ri, contact surface pressure between the ball 11 and the raceway groove 14 becomes larger and a normal rotation of the ball 11 can be performed easily from the beginning. When the radius ri is set to an extent of 0.53-0.58Da (Da is the diameter of the ball 11), the bearing can be improved in durability and hardly damaged.</p>
