PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an expanded body having improved brittleness by modifying an expanded body consisting of phosphoric acid or its salt and a blowing agent with a urethane prepolymer having NCO groups. SOLUTION: A urethane prepolymer having about 0.5-30wt.% NCO group content and a mol.wt. of about 1,000-50,000 is added to 100 pts. wt. H3 PO4 or its salt such AlPO4 or Mg3 (PO4 )2 so that the amt. of the prepolymer is regulated to about 5-30wt.% of the total amt. of all solid components at the time of producing an expanded body and a prescribed amt. of water is added. They are mixed, about 0.1-200 pts.wt. blowing agent such as Na2 CO3 , NaHCO3 , MgCO3 or Mg(OH)2 is added and about <=1,800 pts.wt. inorg. filler such as cement, talc or perlite and about <=40 pts.wt. flame retaedant such as triphenyl phosphate based on 100 pts.wt. of the prepolymer are further added if necessary. They are mixed to prepare a slurry having about 50-90wt.% concn. This slurry is injected into a mold and allowed to expand freely to obtain the objective inorg.-org. composite expanded body having 3-20wt.% P content. |
