<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pigment dispersant which improves the dispersibility of a pigment by reacting a specified carboxyl-terminated polyester compound component with a polyvinylamine component. SOLUTION: This dispersant is obtained by reacting a carboxyl-terminated polyester compound component (A) essentially consisting of units formed by the ring opening polymerization of a lactone compound represented by formula I (wherein R<1> is a 1-10C aliphatic alkylene group) with a polyvinylamine component (B) represented by formula II (wherein (k) is an integer of 2-2,500). The molecular weight of component A is desirably in the range of 100-5,000. The molecular weight of component B is desirably in the range of 100-1000,000.</p> |
