PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractor capable of absorbing the load applied to a pawl or a lock piece with a simple structure at the time of coupling. SOLUTION: This retractor is provided with a frame 11 having a pair of side plates 13, 14, a winding shaft 21 rotatably supported by both side plates 13, 14 of the frame 11 and rotatively excited in the direction winding a webbing 16, a ratchet wheel 23 fixed to one end section of the winding shaft 21, and a pawl 38 having a pawl section 39 formed into a flat plate shape, rotatably supported with both end sections on both side plates 13, 14, and coupled with the ratchet wheel 23 in an emergency. Extension sections protruded to the coupling face side between the ratchet wheel 23 and the pawl section 39 of the pawl 38 and kept in contact with the back face of the pawl section 39 of the pawl 38 at the time of coupling between the ratchet wheel 23 and the pawl section 39 of the pawl 38 are formed on the side plates 13, 14. |
