PRODUCTION OF MULTILAYER STRUCTURE, FOOD PACKAGING MATERIAL AND PACKAGED MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily and safely producing a multilayer structure excellent in gas barrier and heat resistance and capable of using for food packing materials, etc., especially food packaging materials for retort treatment at a high speed and obtain a food packaging material using the structure and further obtain a packaged material in which contents are packed. SOLUTION: A solution containing 100 pts.wt. vinyl alcohol-based resin (a) and 0.001-20 pts.wt. at least one kind of cross-linking agent and/or a cross- linking auxiliary (b) selected from among a polyfunctional allyl-based compound, a polyfunctional (meth)acrylic compound, a polyfunctional alcohol and a metal oxide is applied onto a substrate and dried and irradiated with electron beam. The vinyl alcohol-based resin is preferably an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. The multilayer structure is used for food packaging material. Contents are packed into the food packaging material and heat-sterilized to provide the objective packaged material.
