PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method recording good image high in color forming properties only by the heating by a thermal head and simple exposure without generating fog at a time of preservation by forming a recording image by using two energies of heat and light and a fixing type photosensitive thermal recording material incapable of altering the recording image. SOLUTION: This recording material is constituted so as to provide an optical color forming element consisting of a compd. decomposed by light and an element reacting with the decomposition product to form a color on a support. In this case, the optical color forming element is mixed by heat to form a latent image and this latent image forms a color by light and at least one component of the optical color forming element is dispersed along with an org. solvent.
