PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a raised cloth for car mats excellent in antistatic properties by tufting pile yarns on an antistatic base cloth prepared by using an electroconductive yarn and a non-conductive yarn including fusible fibers. SOLUTION: An electroconductive fiber made of a pitch carbon fiber having a crimp of >=5 peaks/2.54 cm, an average fiber length of >=25mm, preferably >=30mm and an aspect ratio of >=2500, preferably >=3,600 in an amount of 5-30wt.% is mixed with 70-95wt.% of a sheath-core type thermally fusible conjugated fiber, and an antistatic fabric with a tear-strength of >=5kg, tensile strength of >=15kg/5cm and <=30% elongation is produced by the card web technique. This antistatic fabric is used as a base cloth to effect tufting thereby producing the objective raised fabric. |
