PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the production efficiency of the line by obtaining the maximum speed of the line from the diameter of a coil in the uncoiling or coiling operation and the maximum number of revolution of a motor. SOLUTION: In a line speed operation control device 30, the diameter of a coil in the uncoiling or coiling operation by an uncoiler 1 or a coiler 11 is actually measured or operated. The maximum speed of the uncoiler and the maximum speed of the coiler are obtained from the maximum number of revolution of motors of the uncoiler and the coiler, and the maximum speeds are compared with each other to determine the upper limit value of the line speed. The upper limit value of the line speed is set to a maximum speed setting circuit, and outputted to a speed commander 22 based on the set value. The line is operated at this speed. The maximum line speed can be set using the maximum number of revolution of the motor according to the diameter of the uncoiler and the coiler to improve the production efficiency. |
