PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent that food housed in the dehumidifying space formed on the anode side of an electrochemical element electrolyzing water to generate oxygen is oxidized and health of a person is injured by the toxicity of ozone by generating ozone on the anode side of the electrochemical element. SOLUTION: The anode 1 of an electrochemical element is formed from an electron conductive porous base material 9 to which platinum plating is applied and the pore parts 11 of the porous base material 9 are filled with a solid polymeric electrolyte 12 having fine particles of an ozone decomposing catalyst dispersed therein.
