PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an indwelling needle outer needle low in thrust resistance using a tube made of a polyurethane shape memory resin. SOLUTION: A core metal 3 is inserted into the tube of an indwelling needle outer needle 1 having a leading end part not formed thereto up to the position set back from the leading end of the tube 11 by predetermined length (a). The tube 11 into which the core metal 3 is inserted is inserted into a mold 4 preheated to 120-180 deg.C until it becomes supported while the core metal 3 is held so as not to be moved within the tube 11 and, subsequently, the core metal 3 is pushed in up to the predetermined position of the mold 4 (b). After the tube 11 is heated for a predetermined time to be softened, the core metal 3 is further pushed in the mold 4 to be held for a definite time (c). The mold 4 is cooled for a definite time (d). The tube 11 into which the core metal 3 is inserted is drawn out of the mold 4 (e). The core metal 3 is pulled out of the tube 11 (f). The leading end part 13 of the tube 11 is cut at a predetermined position (g). |
