CAST COATED PAPER FOR INK JET RECORDING

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cast coated paper for ink jet recording free from the damage of the gloss of a recording part caused by swelling and having both of a high-grade feeling and a high recording grade. SOLUTION: This coated paper is obtained by applying a coating soln. containing pigment and an aq. binder to at least one surface of base paper and bringing the formed coating layer into contact with a heated mirror finish metal surface under pressure during a period when the coating layer is held to a wet state. In this case, synthetic silica with a BET specific surface area of 200-600m<2> /g is contained in the pigment and the aq. binder contains an aq. urethane resin and casein in a wt. ratio of 0.1-20.
