PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setter having good heat resistance and capable of easily recovering fired bodies since zirconia sintered spheres are stuck to the setter without causing contamination of the fired bodies due to reaction in the firing process since the surface of the setter in contact with the bodies to be fired consists of zirconia and without causing adhesion between the setter and the fired bodies even when firing temp. is high since the surface of the setter is spherical and the contact surface of the setter with the bodies to be fired is point contact, and also to provide a firing method using this setter. SOLUTION: In this setter on which zirconia sintered spheres are stuck to the upper surface thereof, the zirconia sintered spheres have an average particle size (in diameter) that is >=0.025mm and also, smaller than the minimum dimensional length of the surface in contact with the setter of each of bodies to be fired and further, the sintered density and the sphericity of each of the izirconia sintered spheres are >=90% of the theoretical density and >=0.8 respectively. The firing process using this setter comprises performing firing at 1,000 to 1,600 deg.C. |
